38 weeks and probelms

 Sorry for the rant but need someone to talk to about this all so i was in the hospital over the weekend and come to find out i have Preeclampsia starting  with some what high BP and very swallon legs and Very low iron on top of it all .. so the hospital get me all worked up like there something really wrong and the need to take her and i will need to have a blood infusion done and also iron infusion does asap and all then come the next day i saw one of my OBs and the said thing are ok but i do need to have a few iron Infusion done befor they induce me or i go in to labor on my own so the ob said it was safe for me to go home as nothing has change for the worst in the 24 hours i was there so i came home and need to Call the Ob Office this am to get in and see someone today and i did and they give me a US to look at the her and the fluid around her befor seeing the one of the OBs and the lady doing the US said thing look good with her but really could not get a good HB as she would not stay still but this been a thing with her from the start lol she does not like to be messed with and i am the one who always get a good HB as i need to press down a little hard as i was not the smallest person befor getting preggo  and She also told  me i had little more fluid around her then need to be ... so Now i am meeting The OB and she come in and said we need to talk so now i am thinking something really wrong but after the weekend i had i know something was wrong but i was thinking it was just the iron and preeclampsia but now they are worried about the fluid around her so they called some specialists ob office a few hour from here and talk thing over with them befor i left the office and she came back in the room and told me i would be deliveing down there and he would call back with appt to meet with him and i see him on Friday at 2:00 as up here dont know if i can have vbac or c- sention  and that OB down there was not sure and would know more after seeing my file but what i dont understand is if thing are as bad as they made it out to be this weekend and today then why do i meet with him on friday and not now ?? i am so lost and so scary i dont want nothing to happy to us but i know i am good hand down there but the waitting is killing me ... sorry i will stop now ... 

well it sounds like they are keeping a good eye on you and your baby.. they probably want to schedule the birth day so there will be no surprises,, also if there is too much fluid,, they probably want to make sure your baby is swallowing well (babies swallow amniotic fluid) and peeing well.. (they pee inside to get their kidneys going),, sooo, they'll probably keep a good eye on her,,and check out her eating and peeing when she comes out,  which is a good thing :) keep us posted :)

Sorry you had such a hard time. My best friend had Pre-e with both of her babies. The first one the dr wanted to do a 24 hour urine test for protien in the hospital but they didn't even finish the test. They ended up inducing her instead. She was so upset because it came out of no where and it felt like nothing was explained. You have a right to say Wait! I am confused. Please explain to me _____ or why it seemed so much like an emergency in the hospital but not now. It was her first baby and she was 3 weeks early. She gave birth on her baby shower day. It was a mess because she did not know what to expect.

Pre-e can be a wait and see type of thing. Your BP will be high so they get nervous about your health and the baby's health. It can be serious which is probly why they got worked up in the ER. But with my friend's second baby they took more of a play it day by day plan. Regular checking of her BP and urine for protien before they jumped to induction.

Has your OB told you about wanting to do any extra tests to check for protein in your urine? It's a standard thing they do every visit but they also can do a more indepth urine test.

Your question about if this is so bad like they made out why not see the dr today is a valid one. I'd call your regular OB and ask. Just tell them you had been worrying and wondering and see what they say. Fluid levels around the baby can shift and change so they might be doing a wait and see til your new OB appt on Fri. Try not to stress. (I know easier said than done.) Oh and btw both of my friend's daughters were born 3 weeks early but extremely healthy. Hope that helps ease your mind abit.
