Not this time

Well my period finally showed up on Wednesday. I am going to buy an OPK this next time and just BD everyday that whole week. If it doesn't work , I already have an appt with my OB/GYN for May 3 to check our levels. My hubby is hoping that he doesn't have to go through that.
I don't blame him. I think it would be awkward. I don't really know what I will have to do. I have never been through anything like this before so if anyone can shed some light on this topic I would appreciate it.
I know that if it happened once for us it will happen again. It has been over a year since we have been trying again. A couple of months we had to take off because of my hernia repair and gall bladder removal but it has been about a year. Maybe we are just not timing it right.

Thanks girls

Jana

I used Fertlityfriend.com. I graphed my cycles for two months while I was waiting for my short term disability ins to become effective. It became effective May 1st....I was pregnant by May 2nd...lol  Seriously though, I tracked my cycles and I knew exactly when I ovulated because of all the information it provides you with.

I also visited a Reproductive Endocrinologist to double check that I had everything "in order". He did a sono to check everything and then did some blood work to see where my hormones were. I was also tested for Cystic Fibrosis. After the "all clear" we just had to wait for May.

Good luck!

I'm sorry that this is such a struggle for you, Jana.  But don't lose hope.  Like you said, you were pg before and you can certainly do it again.  Just like the PP, I too used fertilityfriend.com and tracked my ovulation for several months.  When my bari surgeon gave me the green like to start TTC, I had my OB run a boat load of tests to make sure all my stuff was in good working order - I had just turned 40 at the time.  Everything was perfect and our donor had seriously super sperm (sperm count over 200!)  It did take us a year to successfully get pregnant and that was with the help of some heavy duty fertility drugs and IVF treatment.  I did have 2 MC's during that year. So we got pg on the 7th cycle.  I would definitely suggest you going to your OB and having her/him run tests on you.  Why are you waiting until May 3rd?  Couldn't you get in to see them in April?

Keep breathing, don't lose hope.  Your baby will make its way into your life.  Just keep your mind focused on that!  *big hugs*

He has a very busy practice. He is a great doctor and very caring. Wonderful bedside manor. Thats probably why I have to wait so long. I have been going to him for about 10 years. He is deemed as the "Pregnancy Specialist" in our area.  Thats the earliest I could get to see him.
I do have the pregnancy tracker app on my phone. It is pretty close to the signs that my body gives me. I think I just have to amp up the BD. This last cycle we only did it twice that week. Not ideal I know.

Thanks Girls

Hi Jana,
I also had to get help to become pregnant. If your period was later than you expected, maybe you also ovulated later than you thought? I highly recommend OPK's to make sure you get the timing right. You should talk to your doctor as well... maybe something as simple as clomid would help you become pregnant? Have you ever tried it before?
Good luck and keep us posted!

I have never used clomid but my last appointment I had with him last February he mentioned clomid. We will see what happens. I am for sure going to get the OPK. Like I posted earlier , my husband is not to excited of going through the process of getting his sperm count so he wants it to happen this next cycle. I think we will do what it takes this cycle to get pregnant.

Thanks for all the support ladies. It means a lot.
