A healthy no-bake carrot cake (no oil, added sugar or dairy):
There are good carbs and bad carbs. Good carbs are fruit and veggies. They are healthy. Bad carbs are sugary donuts, cakes, cookies, breads, etc. And everyone needs some carbs, fat, and protein to live. And not everyone on this site is a WLS patient yet.
Good or bad, wls patients are recommended to stay under 25g carbs per day, so this recipe is not a good choice. Just something to be aware of!
I find that carb limit to be flawed. But just it a portion of the carrot cake. Or this can be for someone on here who is not currently a WLS patient. It is alot healthier than other carrot cakes.
Your opinion on the carb limit doesn't matter; patients should listen to their doctors' recommendations, not your personal opinions.
This may be healthier than other carrot cakes, but that doesn't mean that ANY carrot cake is a good option for someone who has had bariatric surgery :)
wow, one serving has 20 gr of carbs and 16 grams (=4 tsp) of sugar. Sugar is sugar.
