I'm considering revision surgery.  I have had 50% regain from surgery 7.5 yrs ago.  Does anyone know you can have a revision from RNY to DS.  I'm trying to determine which revision procedure will be best, most beneficial and yield the best results for me.

Yes. I had my RNY to DS revision 10 months go. There are quite a few of us over on the DS board.

This is very complex surgery and there are only a few surgeons in the country who do it, so travel is usually necessary. Check out DSFacts.com for a list of vetted surgeons. Surgeons who do this are Drs. Keshishian, Rabkin, Roslin, Gagner, and possibly buchwald and Greenbaum.

Good luck.

Yep, it is possible...but only a handful of surgeons in the US do the surgery.  I am going to be having my RNY from 2000 revised to a DS early this next year :)

I thought about all of the possible RNY revision options and the DS was the only one that I felt confident in as far as procedure goes and would be the best option for me based on my needs.  The Stomaphyx doesnt seem to work at all and I discounted the BOB (band over bypass) as putting crap on top of something that didnt work well for me in the first place.

Good luck to you in whatever path you choose

Yes it is possible.  I am 3 1/2 weeks post op RNY to DS revision and I am currently down 30 lbs.  There are only a handful of surgeons that can handle this type of revision so you may have to travel.

Good luck to you.

Have you considered a Band instead?  A band over bypass is very safe and great for those of us who don't need to lose a lot of weight.  I am down 40lbs since my BOB in June.

Okay I see the list of doctors on the DSfacts page but I do not see where it says vetted or ryn to DS doctors.
Can someone please share that link please?

Here is the list that jeninky1 was looking for.  This is my list, but a general up-to-date list.

RNY to DS Revision Surgeons

Dr. Rabkin, Dr. Keshishian, both are located in California

(((((I had a face-to face consult with Dr. Keshishian March 2, 2011. I do have his cash pay fees:
These are just the Surgeons FEES Only!!!!
Open DS: $8650.00
Lap DS: $9525.00
Sleeve: $2000.00

REVISIONS:
Revision - Lap Band to DS: $8650.00
Revision - RNY, VBG, Fobi Pouch, or other unknow bariactric procedure to DS: $11,000.00
(I was told that the $4,000.00 program fee is included in this $11,000.00 fee)
On my paperwork, The hospital fee (I think it was for a 4 day stay) was $17,500.00)))))
So, a revision from RNY to DS surgeons fees are $11,000.00 and the 4 day hospital stay is $17,500.00 for a total of $28,500
