Hello all,

I received a letter from insurance over the weekend that my Revision Procedure is approved (Lapband to Bypass)!!!! Words can't express how extremely happy and nervous this makes me. This is real, it's really going to happen. I'm guessing the clinic will contact me at some point this week to schedule surgery. I'll continue to post updates. Thanks for all the support!!!

Lapband is a really bad device (IMO). It works for some people. I am happy you are getting "the thing" out of your body.

I am so Happy for you! I am still dealing with the insurance specialist at my surgeons office , she is absolutely worse then the insurance company . On June 4 she told me she had to mail mine because my file was so large, she supposedly didn't have a big enough envelope but assured me she would pick one up and mail it the next day , well lets just say I am not holding my breath . I called today and spoke to her assistant and she had no idea what was going on . I am sure its still sitting on her desk .

Have you tried calling your insurance company to verify if they received the paperwork yet? I called mine about every other day requesting a status.

Hopefully the insurance specialist did what she was supposed to do the second time around. Good luck!

Hi Steph,

That sounds great!! I'm not sure what date I'm going to go with yet. I have a family vacation coming up and then childcare issues in August. I'm sure I can make something work in August though so hopefully there is a date available.

I see that you're in MN. I am also getting my revision done in MN. Do you mind telling me what clinic/surgeon you're using?
