Pain after revision?

Hi, I had my revision on October 11th. I had the GI drain taken out on the 31st. Now above the drain site is very puffy and sore. Anyone know what it could be? Maybe infection? I'm seeing the Dr. tomorrow night but just curious if anyone had. Thanks. Lost 20 pounds since the revision.

It could be that you weren't through draining and are developing a bit of a seroma there. I hope it's not an infection. Congratulations on your weight loss. I have lost 18 since my revision on 10/12. Hugs, Dawn

When I had my drains take out it was puffy and sore like you said. I think that is pretty normal but doesnt hurt to let the surgeon see it, you know? I think if it was infected you would know it. Tavia

Thanks Tavia and Dawn. Saw my primary. She also feels it is just the healing process. Since it's not hard and no fever she feels it is fine. She said my left rib is higher then the right so maybe the drain was higher. Who knows. Thanks for your responses.
