ATTN *****: I have seed stuck in my hole....

No it's not the name of a new ***** movie....


I have a watermelon seed stuck in the cavern of where I had a tooth.  A week ago, I had to have a tooth pulled because of a bad root canal.  The dentist put a temp. fake tooth with a bridge ~ which means, he glued a fake tooth over the cavern.  The fake tooth is actually glued to the teeth beside it...Anyway, while the cavern is healing, stuff is getting caught in the cavern.

I had some fruit this morning and now I have a watermelon seed wedged between the cavern and the fake tooth.  I called the dentist and he said that he would have to remove the fake tooth and clean out the cavern and then reset it again.  I have tried everything to get it out...I've used a water pik...I even tried to pull it out with tweezers (yikes)..Nothing is working!!

I HATE GOING TO THE DENTIST and to go there because I have a seed in my hole...just sucks!!!

I had a root canal go bad about a year ago.  It turned into four visits before finally getting my crown.  I hate the dentist too!!!

I"m no help either. The last time I went to the dentist it turned into a screaming match so I havent' been back. They gave me a temporary crown for a root canal and I never went back. (the screaming match came the day they had me set up to do the permanent, but changed their minds) The temporary came out, the rest of the tooth broke off and now I have a hole with gagged edges around it...Nope, not going back either. Until something in my mouth hurts, I won't set foot in the dentist to save all the teeth in my mouth. AND I'll find another dentist too.

Chewing gum really vigorously???? Just a thought. Good luck with it - I too avoid the dentist unless absolutely neccesary - I go for regular check ups and cleaning - but man - all those pointy, shiny things on those trays are just way too scary for me. Give me a good old doctor's appt any day. Good luck with it Dawn!

How about a dentist pick that you can get at most any drug store?  The curved end might help you out.  Good luck!

You better get to the dentist soon, or the seed may sprout and how do you think you would look with a watermelon growing in your mouth?
