This is weird but does anyone have a rough or fuzzy feeling in their teeth (especially behind the front ones). I had my usual cleaning then started my pre-op liquid diet shortly after.  It is now 3-4 weeks since I started drinking protein and I feel like my teeth are ready for their 6 month cleaning.  Anyone else experience this?  What to do?

Yes, I have that too.  It is either the whey in protein drinks or your body in  kotosis maybe.

Yes, I have it also.
Brushing only helps for about an hour, and then it's back, just as you described.

I have no idea what to do.  I have just been living with it and trying to brush and floss frequently.

I've noticed this slightly. I use a sonicare tooth bru**** was over 150 and the replacement heads (every 4-5 months) are pricey but it gives a dentist clean each time.

I have a "fuzzy/furry" feeling on the back of my tongue. Maybe the same sort of thing? I will be 6 weeks in 2 days.

OMG I KNEW I wasn't imagining that! Yes, ever since my surgery its hard to keep my teeth clean. By the end of the day they feel very fuzzy. I use an electric toothbrush and it doesn't make any difference. I'm just going to start brushing more often.

I use an electric toothbrush with Enamelon tooth paste. I added a little extra baking soda and then your teeth are clean. Make sure to brush your gums, roof of the mouth and tongue. Try it. You might save yourself a trip to the Dentist.

I'm just going to throw this out there since you just had your surgery on June 22....  It could be thursh.  Is your tongue white and "fuzzy" too?  It could be any of the other things people said, but I had that feeling on my teeth right after my surgery and I thought I wasn't brushing them enough...  But my doctor said no, it was thrush.  Easy to treat, but if left untreated, it could spread, and yes, I do mean down there....  So, if I were you, I would call my doctor or I would go and see them...  Not your surgeon, but just your PCP...  There is a mouthwash you would use and it goes away.  There are home remedies, but I don't mind medications, so I went for the one I knew would work.  I also had to use monistat to clear up my other problem...  It wasn't fun...at all...  Good luck...  Oh, and if it is thrush, don't go and buy a new electric toothbrush and use it, you'll have to get a new head for it.....  You'll want to change your toothbrush often if it's thrush.  Good luck!
