TOMORROW - WALKING CHALLENGE BEGINS

A bunch of us said that we're doing this, so get ready!

July 1st we begin our walk a marathon (or more!) in July.

Run, walk, skip, whatever, let's get some exercise done and be accountable for making it 26.2 miles in July.  This is movement above and beyond normal daily activity (I'm sure I walk a mile/day to the ladies room, but I'm not counting that - I'm only counting going for a walk, going for a run, walking the dog, walking to the store, etc)

Start stretching!

I walk a mile to work and a mile back. So that's 2 miles a day already. And I liked the "Wal-Mart" walk so much I think I am actually going to make it a Friday evening routine! So that's 6 more miles per week.

And we have a walking challenge going at work now (actually a "step challenge") so I have to get in my walking for that too.

I love this darn GoWear because it shows me that walking is actually an excellent way to burn calories!

I was about ready to say "No problem!" because I already power walk 2-3 miles a day, but then- oops! I have my RNY surgery July 15. That may knock me off course, but I'll do my best!

Damn Sue I'm doing 8 miles tonight! lol tomorrow was supposed to be my rest day... I'll switch it up and maybe at least do a few miles so I can get on the board for the challenge.

yeah, a group of us did a 6+ mile walk on Saturday that didn't count. LOL  I've got a 10k on Sunday, so it's all good - plus dog sitting this wee****il Monday night, so that's a couple miles of dog walking/day.
