help is this dumping???
I had a snowcone- pretty normal thing to do here in the south- I had a small its made with syrups but this must have been NOT sugar free.
Everything went fine as I ate it but within 10 min of it being gone and now for several hours...
I am sorry if its too TMI... but pure water like daihrrea :( I am afraid to go anywhere- this happened once before but I do not remember if I could have had sugar that day but it was just like this.
Most days everything is fine. But after the snowcone not so good.
Can this be my only symptom and still be DUMPING??

Sounds like it could be. Maybe since it was a small amount, you are not having any other symptoms. I would stay away from the snowcones for awhile. I know how they are so good though. I am eating Rita's italian water ice now. Not sugar free. Will be once I have my surgery.
I would try to get in a little extra water in for the next couple of days, if you can. since you may get dehydrated from the diarrhea.

Sorry I dont have any input to your question, I was actually getting ready to post the same question as you.
Ive never dumped before - to my knowledge. Sunday afternoon I had 3-4 bites of a baked potato with "real" butter, the good fattening stuff (yea I know its bad for me). About 45 min after eating, I had to run straight to the toilet with explosive diarrhea. It was over and done with in 5 min tops. Never had any other symptoms.
Today, I took 3 bites of a banana. I had eaten banana before with no problems. 30 mins later same issue. Running to the bathroom. Over and done with in 5 min.
Im wondering if this is coincidence or dumping? Anxious to hear your replies.

this morning I had a french vanilla protein shake that I "doctored" up. I added some crushed ice, extra baking vanilla flavoring, couple of equal, 2 Tbsp peanut butter powder and a Tbsp of SF choc pudding mix. We drove about 1/2 hour while I sipped my shake gone. Got into a store and immediately had that panicky, "oh no...where's the bathroom" feeling. Major episode of diarrhea. And then it was over...felt great rest of the day. I wondered if I dumped, too? I don't know, either!

I went to Six Flags Mass about two weekends ago and I also ate part of my daughter's snowcone. It was the busiest day ever there. The lines for the bathroom were extraordinarily longer than normal. I felt the urge to have diarrhea and got nervous, dizzy, sweaty. I had to run to the First Aid booth and use their bathroom. It was quite embarrassing.
I always heard dumping can go out either end, so my guess is for all the folks who had that explosive "uh-oh" reaction, it was dumping, same as the vomiting.
I've been lucky with only getting food stuck once and wow, the pain. I had extreme drooling as I thought I was going to upchuck, but it settled down after a few minutes of moving this way and that.
I am still new at this and learning what I can and can't eat. But I am also deciding to stay away from high sugar foods as just a lifestyle change. So I would not be eating all of a snowcone, maybe a couple bites and not on an empty stomach.
Live and learn for all of us and we're all so different, what works for one may not be best for another! I love to read and learn tho, all I can from all of you so thanks!
