I have a surgery date and I know I need a food processor for the pureed stage! I want something that I can also use to make my protein shakes well mixed. Any suggestions? Magic bullet? Ninja? Something else?? What do you have and where did you get it? How much does it cost??

Thanks!

I purchased the Ninja pro. I was reading comments from a previous thread and they spoke highly about this blender. i purchased mine from k-mart for 36.00 on sale.
I did a mild wash and made a smoothie. IT DOES EXACTLY WHAT IT'S SUPPOSE TO DO! Loooove it! I'm trying the smaller chopping/salad container 2mrw. Making shrimp salad.

i have the ninja as well.  Works great.  My sister gave me a handheld mixer (hamilton beach) for christmas.  That works great for small jobs.  But still relying on the ninja.

Congrats on ur upcoming surgery.  It will be here before you know it.

I think I am going to wind up with 4 blenders before long. I started out with the regular old generic blender but I didn't like the way it crushed (or didn't crush**** I heard the Hamilton Beach Jr is good for that and it only cost $15 at Wal Mart. I have used this one so much that it's on it's last legs. I just bought a Magic Bullet tonight so I haven't had a chance to use it yet and I see a Ninja in my future.

I'm 6 weeks out and almost past the blender stage, I still have one protein shake a day, but sometimes use a shaker bottle as it produces so much less foam.

That said, I started out using a cuisart blender that also had a food processor attachment.  What I found using the blender, is that my hands got very chapped washing the blender 5-6 times per day.  I'm now just using the food processor attachment for certain recipes.

I found a magic bullet type blender at Target, brand name is Bella Cucina, think it was around $30.  Anyway, it has 5 cups that you can drink from and then throw in the diswasher.  No more chapped hands.

My best friend in the whole world is my Cuisinart! It seriously is... I make everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, in it! Protein shakes, pureed foods, sauces, chopping fresh herbs & garlic, breadcrumbs, the list goes on and on.
