Antibiotics

How do ya'll habdle taking antibiotics post-op?  I always get an upset stomach if dont have some food with my pill, but we are not supposed to drink anything after we eat.  

Also anybody else experience really sensitive skin post-op?  I cant tell if I am burning in the sun so fast cause of the anitbiotics or something to do with my low levels of Vitamin D (which I am working to bring up) 

It's fine to take one drink of water with a pill even if you've just eaten.

I just had an antibiotic prescription a couple of weeks ago for a UTI. The important thing in my book was that the pill be small enough to swallow, preferably without splitting (and if I had to spilit it, it couldn't be a capsule of course), and that it not be a timed release drug.

Ended up with macrodantin, which has to be taken with food. The swallow of water required to get the pill down didn't seem to hurt anything,.
