Which Antidepressant(s) work(s) for you?
Jules~
Way to go on your weight loss but more so the maintaining is AWESOME!
I am stuck but now that my meds are helping me; I think I can keep going to tackle my goal of health!
I always suggest for people to see a Psychiatrist for Med Management.
It bothers me that so many PCPs actually switch people's medicine on/off.
For years I suffered from a HMO switching me from med to med. We switched insurances and I love my doctor, she rocks!
She will adjust my meds by just a little bit, we talk and see how it is working...2 months ago my Celexa was not doing it for me, so we added Wellbutrin (immediate release, time release does not work for us WLS patients) Oh sidebar, my shrink works with WLS patients so she is very aware of our special needs...have you poked around to find a psychiatrist that works with WLS patients; it could really help!
It has been a life saver~ Having a great practitioner and great meds! Along with WLS~
I think you are heading down the right path, you are talking to people and becoming aware~ best of luck in your journey!

I take Pristiq which is in the Effexor family. My PCP explained that it has less side effects, such as loss of libido and weight gain. Im still struggling with depression so Im not sure at now it is the best choice or if I am the right dosage but it certainly has helped improve my moods a great deal.
