I use a little kitchen scale on a daily basis...I use it to measure my proteins (meat, fish or cheese).
I also had a small stash of foods on the first stage of my WLS diet....refired beans, shredded cheese, plain cream of wheat, tuna and mayo, soft fish, cottage cheese and yougurt. I refused to eat pureed anything so did not boither to pick up the babyfood they suggested if you could stomach that.
It looks like you have throught of everything else for supplies at home.
I know lots of people said they never touched the things they borught to the hospital.... I used my laptop and I finished two novels in the two overnights I spent there. I was in a good deal of pain and could not sleep....reading is my go to eacape hatch for nearly everything! I finished several more novels in the 8 days I was off from work.
Also, for the hospital I brought my own clothes...in places like this I am much more comfortable in my own lounge clothes rather than the butthanging out gown. I am a nurse so I was able to figure out how to get the catheter through my pant leg and I disconnected th IV and threaded it though the arm of the top...I am naughtly lkie that! BUT I felt so much better in my own stuff!
Good luck!!

one of our food stores is going out of business and they have everything 20-50% off so i had gone the other day and bought dannon light&fit yogurt, plain cream of wheat and chicken breasts, LF mayo, and no sugar added applesauce. forgot to mention that or i'd end up listing my whole pantry haha. we already had tons of tuna in water(love tuna)
Have some Tylenol at home.
Otherwise, this looks good. You most likely will not want to read in the hospital. You'll sleep a lot and should get up and walk when you're awake.
You'll get bored at home, though, but still need to take it easy. Have some magazines or a good book, movies to watch, crossword puzzles, knitting, whatever you enjoy that's not too strenuous.
Good luck to you!

Please note: I AM NOT A DOCTOR. If you want medical advice, talk to your doctor. Whatever I post, there is probably some surgeon or other health care provider somewhere that disagrees with me. If you want to know what your surgeon thinks, then ask him or her. Check out my blog.
Do you have a recliner? Not a necessity, but definitely a great help to my resting. Or, a wedged foam would be good if no recliner.
I did not read much in the hospital or at home for the first week or so, just could not concentrate or comprehend what I was reading. I was more of a TV watcher, liked the background noise on low, didn't matter if I paid attention or not.
I actually found gowns to be better for me - didn't like the pjs riding up in my - well, you know. Whatever you are comfortable with, though, that's what counts.
If you think you will need pain meds at home you may want a pill splitter or pill crusher, too. Maybe not - I still use the pill splitter many times even at 3 years out.
Your list looks great! Good luck!
