I just bought a 2 pound bag of already cooked large shrimp so I can pull however many I want out of the bag.  I can eat them as shrimp ****tail but I would like some other simple ideas for recipes.  Any ideas?

Thanks Kim
PS I am 3 weeks out so I have to keep it as simple as I can.

Try cooking/heatin it up in a skillet with old bay seasoning and sazon (the orange one)!! U can use either water or vegetable oil!!

I usually eat this over rice, but its good without the rice as well.

There are some great recipes on Bariatric Eating and I love their simple recipe for shrimp scampi.  In fact, that gives me ideas for dinner tonight!

Personally I'm not a fan of the pre-cooked shrimp.  I find that when you go to reheat them they get a bit rubbery.  About the only think I'll use precooked shrimp for is for shrimp ****tail or in a salad.  Anything cold.

But, I buy and cook frozen shrimp all the time.  They are one of my favorite foods.  They cook up in no time at all, and they will even thaw very quickly if you are in a rush.  Just pull out what you need, put it in a small bowl in the sink and let some cold water run over them, just a little more than a trickle.  They'll be thawed and ready to cook in no time.

I love to steam mine after covering them in Old Bay.  I use equal parts cider vinegar and water.   Just an inch or so of liquid in the bottom of the pot, bring it to a boil and steam for about 5 minutes.

I also love to sautee them in a pan.  Just a tbsp of olive or sesame oil, then season however you like.  If you don't want to use the oil, you could proably get away with spraying the pan with cooking spray, but I'm willing to allow myself this one little indulgence.  They'll cook up in just a couple minutes.

Sometimes I add cooked shrimp and sauted bay scallops to clam chowder with a dash of Old Bay, parsley and sometimes a can of baby clams.  Sometimes I add shrimp to tomato sauce when making spaghetti squash.

My Boyfriend's favorite is shrimp salad. I just dice them up pretty fine add some mayo and sf sweet relish and enjoy. High protein and easy on the pouch. I eat mine plain and he adds his to a pita with lettuce and tomato.

Blessed are the flexible for they shall not be bent out of shape.

I do a shrimp salad as well but I use mayo, celery diced very fine, old bay and s&p to taste.  I think I will try the sweet relish as a change up from the savory old bay.

Thanks for the tip.
