Does anyone have any good recipes or marinades for fish....like salmon, halibut or tilapia? I usually only eat fish out in restaurants but am looking to enjoy it at home more often! Thanks!

Hello.  I am 6 days post op.  Feeling pretty ok today.  Its still early.  I have been eating Talapia with a little cream soup on top, sprinkle a littel cheese and zap in the oven.  I am going to try the same with crab meat today.  Yumms.

My favorite recipe for salmon is really simple.  I just combine some dijon mustard, garlic, dill seed, lemon juice, and olive oil, mix it all up, and slather it on the salmon fillet!  Its delicious!  I eat it like, twice a week lol

Great cook book if you are looking for recipes..Eating well after weight loss sugery.  Has this and some other great recipes you might like.  I love this one..

1 lrg cucumber seeded and peeled
1c plain yougurt (I use greek)
1 1/1 tsp fesh mint
1/2 tsp chopped garlic (I use a jar one in water)
Grate the cucumber and squeeze out extra juices in a papertowel throw in food processor with all other ingredients and blend away!  Cook your fish with a little lemon juice and pepper (I use swordfish but I'm sure what ever you like will work) how ever you like it and  sauce it up!

This is one of my favorites.  I've used regular cod and halibut with this recipe.

http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/ellie-krieger/miso-glazed-cod-recipe/index.html

It's got some sugar in it, but I use a little less than the recipe calls for and a little more miso paste.  I don't really dump, so I can handle it and when you break it down to a WLS friendly portion, it can't be all that much anyway.

Also, if you have a Trader Joe's near you, one of my favorite things is the Crab and Cheese stuffed flounder.  You just defrost it for an hour, wrap it in tin foil and then bake it for about 20 minutes or so.  I eat it with a greek yogurt based 'tartar sauce' I make.  It's just me, so that's all I'll make for dinner when this is on the menu.

Hope this helps!
