My wife does most of the planting...but I enjoy the fruits of her labor.  She planted chard, 1 tomato (we'll get tons from our neighbors), bell peppers, yellow crookneck squash, and strawberries.  So has the frost season ended in your area and are you ready to plant??

Hope.

And Basil & Mint, for sure... but I think rather a lot in all, I'm considering re-landscaping my whole front yard.

This is the first year for my family planting our own garden, we are super excited ! So we got raspberries, strawberries and asparagus! Frost season ended the last of march so we planted right away! Can't wait to see the fruits of my labor! Pun intended

Yeah, we still have snow in places too.  I was raking the yard yesterday but couldn't rake out my favorite flower beds because they're still snowed in!   Our last official frost day here is June 15!  No one really waits that long, but most don't plant anything tender before Mother's Day, and even then, you'd better be ready to cover things up overnight!

I'm not a vegetable gardener, but I LOVE flowers and have lots of perennials like daffodils, iris, day lilies, hosta, rhododendron, columbine, tiger lilies, purple coneflower, black eyed susans, coral bells, etc. etc.  I plant some annuals too for extra color.  My favorites are impatiens.  Happy gardening!  Can't wait until I can get started!

I'm going to get tons of perennial rhubarb, so if you have any suggestions on what to do with it, please let me know! I used to bake a great rhubarb pie, but the ingredients were rhubarb, flour and SUGAR, tons of it.

Use Splenda to replace sugar. Add Strawberries. Make a crumble with oatmeal & nut topping to skip the old pie crust. MMMMM.

But you see, my problem is that I really hate Splenda. Turns my stomach. Is there any non-artificial sweetener solution to my dilemma? I mean, I get SO MUCH rhubarb.

I don't have a green thumb - and we still have snow and low temps - but I will be starting my tomatoes indoors this week!

I bought TWO indoor greenhouses from Lowe's, and have broccolli, cucumber onions, radishes, carrots, zuchinni, squash, in lg containers, and in separate ones I have corn, beans, strawberries. I also have in XLG containers a kiwi plant, papaya plant, blueberry bush, blackberry bush, and small apple trees.  I have one whole room devoted to planting because we live in ALASKA, and don't get that much "green time".
