Not ready to plant yet, because of the unusual weather here this year. We have apple trees, pear trees, plum tree, blue berry bushes, strawberry bushes, blackberry bushes. Each year I plant: Tomatoes (about 5 varieties), cucumber, onion, corn, green peppers, green beans and/or peas. Can't wait for the nice weather so I can get outside and have some fun in the gardens

3 types of Tomatoes (last year they did outstanding!) and this year we are doing also Watermelon and winter squash. Yum!

The tomatoes are the best because they are used in everything from Sauce to eaten fresh to cooked in soups and stews/canned. my son and "normies" wan****ermelon and the butternut squash will be for making everything from Squash bread to mashed squash to you name it.

Last year we did cucumbers and zucchini in addition to our tomatoes and they went outta control and we were feeding the neighbors, the local food bank, the local wildlife... Everyone got sick of cucumbers and zucchini so this year watermelon and squash alongside the Tomatoes!

Good luck to all my fellow gardeners/farmers!

Warmly,
Jackie

The only thing i do is water the garden when he has to work late. I am the eater of the garden not the planter lol-- Yea hope all gardeners gardens overflow :)

I do mainly flowers and foliage plants along with herbs, but this year I'm limiting my herbs to these:

- dill
- cilantro
- basil
- chives
- sage

I've had it with terragon, rosemary, and thyme. I just always let them go to seed and they crap up the herb bed. I also don't think I get enough sun for them, so they're kinda flavorless in my garden.

Zone 5, baby!
