Looking for a new doctor

Doing well! Just trying to lose a little re-gain before it turned into a big re-gain. Feeling good otherwise! :)

I just did that myself, after my boob surgery due to an abscess. I wasn't able to do much for too long, and gained ten pounds. They're gone. Now I need to lose my bounce back weight.

I actually asked my surgeon for a recommendation. I told her who I had narrowed my list down to with my insurance and location, I had called the offices and asked some key questions that mattered to me: Can you handle 3 more patients? Does the dr have a bias toward or against WLS? How long does it usually take to get some one in if they are sick and need a soon appt, and so on. Then I took the list to my surgeon and said, "I'm changing my PCP, do any of these people stand out as a good choice to you?" She said Dr. Keech! All his patients have really good lab levels! And, I thought, "AWESOME!" I want really good lab levels!!

Now that I've been in to see him a few times, I know it is because his PA did a 6 month internship at WLS COE and really learned a lot about the kind of care we need. He's not perfect, but he draws labs whenever I ask, and my levels in everything but iron are AWESOME! And, my iron is well on it's way so I'm not complaining!!

My surgeon is in California and I'm in New York... That sounds like a great way to find someone, though.

Ahh!! Well, that much difference would be a problem for sure!!
