Does anyone have a really great Egg Drop Soup Recipe? I have one, but it isn't very good.

sadly traditional egg-drop soup is really only chicken broth, cornstarch, dash of soy sauce and an egg....

What you can do (and what I do) if you want jazzed up egg-drop is buy
"Kikkoman Egg Flower Soup Mix"  There are, I think 4 "flavors".  You add water and your own egg.  You can also add shrimp, or any other cooked ground meat to it and it tastes very good.

I like it a tad spicy, so this is what i buy:

That is basically what I do. But I haven't tried putting soy sauce in it.... I don't know why, it just never accured to me.

I think I will try the mix you are talking about.... It sounds like it might be good and different.

Thanks,

Do it Italian style.   Beat an egg and add parmagiano reggiano cheese (grated).  Slowly stir it into simmering chicken stock.  It is delicious and you could almost imagine egg pasta in your soup.  I had this a lot my first couple of weeks out.  It was tasty and warm and a welcome change from the sweeter protein drinks,
