sense of smell

 Since i had my surgery seems like my sense of smell is highten. Has this happened to anyone else?

 YES!! I could smell everything soooo much more!! I'm almost 10 weeks out and still can seem to smell more but it's more tolerable. Not sure if it's because I can now actually eat what I'm smelling, but my taste buds seem to be getting better, too. In the beginning, nothing tasted right. Made getting food in difficult!

 Yeah, smells have been bothering me a bit. Taste has been ESPECIALLY changed - everything tastes so sweet it's gross....

  My doctor warmed me that this could happen and is quite common. Good to stay away from places that have different smells that mingle together. He said it can go away at anytime but is usually gone by 3 months.    Mag   

Oh yes!  Makes the gas even more unpleasant

SURE DID!!!! My fiance had a beer and i swear i could smell him from teh other side of the living room. Made me want to get sick lol, and i like beer!!! 

YES...and 21 months later, it's still there. I cannot tolerate the smell of walking into a Wendy's, the smell of pepperoni, the smell of ANYTHING that is a little "off."

Yes!!!  Me, too!  I thought I was nuts, but thank goodness it happens to other people.  My son has this jumble of string he carries around that USED to be a blanket and I thought I was gonna vomit when he brought it close to me.  Phew.

i had mutant smelling powers after surgery ! lol
it was sooo freaky ...and i couldnt go near the deli counter at the supermarket for the longest time the smell made me sick to my stomach! it was bad...but after a few months my sense of smell went back to normal. 
:) 

 That would be!!! I am going through the same thing.  If something smells really bad it makes me VERY gaggy!!!
