home after surgery
I got home late last night I did good. surgery was a 8am doctors said everything was good was in recovery by 10am then in my room by 12. i kept going in and out of sleep. was dry mouth as everything. but i was up and walking and sitting up by 3pm kept walking and it helped, now i am at home resting i am getting up walking.I have really not wanted anything bu****er. i tried broth but did not like it . so what did you try when you got home i am on straight liquids. untill monday.
I used to freeze sugar free Hansens carbonated drinks in ice cube trays and suck on them so I'd have something besides water and popsicles (freezing takes away the carbonation, so no worries, but as the carbonation freezes it makes kind of a neat texture which is a nice change from the other stuff).
Hansens has sf mandarin lime, mango orange, grapefruit, etc, but you could really use any sugar free, caffeine free soda for whatever flavor you want. Those ice cubes saved me and helped me get fluids in so I didn't dehydrate.
Hang in there - you'll be feeling lots better soon. Congrats on your surgery! You won't regret it, it will literally change your life! =)
edited for what else? spelling. AARRGGH!
