get this fuzz off my teeth.  It's so weird, I have to brush or gargle at least three times a day.  My teeth are "fuzzy", never were before and my tongue has a yuck factor too.  Blech.

Anyone else?

Also, still painful on the left side.   Feel like a major couch potato.

My hair feels really dry too.  Need a "root" job, but not sure it's a good idea right now.

I will be 7 weeks post op on Monday.  I know what you mean about this fuzz/grimmy feeling on your teeth. No matter what I do it wont go away.  I also have that blech taste I guess that it will not go away until we stop burning fat.  Its called Ketosis from what my surgeon said.

I had most my pain on my right side.

As far as my hair and skin goes it has been extremely dry.  I think I have read somewhere that we are not supposed to dye our hair or anything for a certain amount of time.  Hopefully someone else can answer that question for you.

I was there for about 8-10 weeks post-op. It didn't help that all the protein shakes also left some residue. My dentist told me to switch to a soft brush, and to brush at least 3 times per day and better yet to do 4.

It helped, and eventually everything settled down and has been no problem since.

I remember that feeling. Yuck! I jusst remember being utterly disgusted with myself during that time. THings smelling gross, feeling gross, etc. It does get better. Drink, drink, drink and get your protein in.

As far as hair goes. I stopped shampooing and just wash mine with conditioner now. It's formulated to clean as well as condition, so it works well. I also spray a leave in conditioner for added moisture sometimes. I don't wash or wet my hair every day to keep it from getting too dry.

I dyed my hair at 4 weeks and at 8 weeks. Haven't had a problem.

I had thrush post-op b/c of the antibiotics - it was the worst kind of fuzz/funk but visually unmistakable. Looked like a big white blob on my tongue that wouldn't go away even w/ brushing & gargling....

That happened to me for a few days after surgery.  I just brushed and brushed and it finally went away.  As for the pain, it went away also.  Just take it easy and relax and take the time to rest.

I had the same thing and it was Thrush aka yeast infection of the mouth.  Call your surgeon or family doc and let them know and they can call in a script for liquid Nystatin to solve the problem.  It's from all of the antibiotics taht you are given pre-op, during and after surgery.  It's normal!
