I am a little past 5 months out and am wondering what people are doing in regards to counting carbs and or calories.  I have stalled out so looking to revamp my eating

What are you limiting for your carbs and or calories?

Also, any easy dinner ideas would be greatly appreciated. . i have a picky husband and figuring about dinners is getting pretty old

Thanks!

What you can eat at 5 months out is different then what you will eat at 1 year out.  When I was 5 months out I was still eating about 800 calories a day.  I have always tried to keep my carbs around 50, all from complex carbs.  I don't eat anything with refined carbs.
Now at over 9 months out and pretty much at goal I am getting in about 1200 calories a day and my carbs are a little higher, about 60.  That is subject to adjustment as my weight goes up or down.
As far as dinner ideas, I keep it pretty simple, a protein and some vegetables, maybe if I am still hungry some fruit.  A chicken or some chicken breasts or a roast of some kind, maybe throw something in the crockpot.  Pretty much no fuss.  For the husband you can always make some rice or a potato dish or some other starcy side dish.

My surgeon asks for 100 grams of protein a day. I read here or somewhere that we should go for a 40% protein, 35% carbs, 25% healthy fats ratio... So, if I eat 100 grams of protein, that means I need about 87 grams of carbs, and about 62 grams of healthy fats every day. So, those are the numbers I work within! :D

Honestly, this is a lot, and it took me well past my 6 month surgiversary to be able to get it all in during a day. But, I'm doing it sometimes and I find myself stalling out when I don't pay enough attention to giving my body as much fuel as it needs to get through the day!

Huggles!!

My plan is still what it was at 4 months basically.  We aren't suppose to count anything but protein and fluid but the rest shows up on my tracker.  I have found I lose better if I limit carbs to beans, ww bread no more than 1x a day and no simple carbs at all.  My calories are usually in the 750-850 range.  We do 4-5 meals (2 oz protein, 2 oz veggies or fruit) and 2 protein drinks.  80-100g of protein a day.
Meal ideas:  I would suggest looking at all the sites on line for ideas.  Bariatric foodie, etc all have great ideas.  Plus check the what'r you eatting today threads and see what others are doing.  I basically good meat and veggies every night and DH adds toast or I stick a potato in the microwave for him.  If I do spagatti, I eat the sauce without the pasta.
