cramps ... I'm dying

I had my first period post-op the DAY I came home from the hospital.  And now it's here again.  The first time I had the wonderful narcotics.  Now I have nothing.  Okay, okay I got some children's tylenol and took a double dose.  It helped for about an hour.

Any other suggestions?  If I didn't have anything to do, I'd take the narcotics and sleep but ....

Thanks!

Hot pads, stretching and adult doses of Tylenol.  I actually use Midol now with the caffeine and everything, but I'm further out.  But that seems to do the trick for the cramps and back pain.  You could also call your PCP for some better pain meds if you can't get it under control.

Those warming pads that you put on your back, or your shoulder work like charms. They make those for the "menstrual area" as well - before my ablation I used to get those to stick on overnight, so I didn't have to lay in ONE SPOT with the heating pad on my belly. You could put one of tose one on and probably just forget about it all day.

heating pad! if you don't have one, take a tube sock, fill it with rice, and microwave it for a bit, just make sure it's a clean sock! I was told I could swallow pills at 4 weeks out, so I'd probably pop a Tylenol.

Thanks, Ladies!!

I gave up and took a delaudid.  Still hurting a bit but I don't care!  I searched the house high and low and didn't find a heating pad and the tylenol just wasn't cutting it.
