Bummed
So, I met with the endocrinologist today and it was disappointing news. He said I was burning muscle instead of fat. I get at least 75 grams of protein a day, I walk 10000 steps a day and I only have anywhere from 600 to 800 calories a day. He said that my REE is 500 in the hold that most people. He gave me some medicine to help but I don't know what else I can do. Any suggestions?
I'm sorry to hear that, I'm sure that's some pretty disappointing news to hear. The only things I can offer is a {hug} and to bump up your protein as much as possible without making yourself nauseous. I know that lots of people around here get 100g and some even shoot for 130!! Of course most of them are further out but there's no reason that you can't start now. And I don't think maybe another 200 calories would hurt if it is the sake of responsible protein choices and your over all health. Maybe someone with some more knowledge can give you better advise, but just wanted to give you some encouragement!!!
