I like Simply Smart Fat Free milk as it tastes like 2%. Basically, any milk is fine as long as it's fat free. When you are able to, try adding bananas to a protein shake, bananas are great for potassium. I wonder if yogurt would have the same effect as milk? You can get yogurt that is smooth so there are no bits of fruit.

Drink poweraid zero it will help. That is what I had to drink when my levels were a little low. You can drink low fat regular milk

I wasn't able to drink regular milk right out of surgery.  I loved Almond milk, but my NUT said the protein levels are too low that I should choose something else.  I've tried Silk, it was ok.  I def agree with the previous poster about adding bananas when you are allowed.

I love the almond milk too!! And am really bummed that it has such low protein.  However to combat this, I just use it to make my protein shakes!!  (Still tastes like a protein shake though, but almond-y)

Things high in potassium ****ep a list in front of my desk as a reminder); oranges, tomatoes, raisins, spinach, lima beans [Wendy's Chili], bananas, yogurt, broccoli.  If you are really early post op you may want to stick with yogurt, cooked spinach, and a little banana to help raise it.

I use the Hood brand FF milk... 1/2 the calories and sugar of regular FF milk!
