When you're so close to your goal weight and you hit a plateau... what did you do/chan to...

Just having a stall... so close... but feels so far away... a bit frustrating. I am doing everything by the book for the most part... but now what? What can I possibly change? Ideas? Tips? Advice?

Thanks all!

Other than calorie cycling (eating a few more for a few days and then cutting back to a few less than normal for a few days) and mixing up your exercise routine a bit, there probably isn't anything you can do except wait it out.

It took me 20 months to get to my goal weight (which was a loss of close to 185 pounds), but it took SIX months of thsoe 20 to get the last 25 pounds or so off.  The last 10 were especially stubborn.  So, in my book, you have gotten close to goal very quickly (and therefore won't get much sympathy for the small amount of time you have been "so close", LOL!)

Oh my goodness... don't tell me THAT!!! lol

I seriously was hoping to be at goal before I went home to visit my family in July... I was thinking of maybe adding running each evening to my excerise routine. Right now I do spin classes and weight training 2x a week. I'm thinking it may not be enough...

I am a VERY impatient person... lol

Thanks for taking the time to respond to my post... I really appreciate it. :-)

I got within 30 lbs of goal by a year out

18 months out, I was at the same weight

I got to within ten pounds of goal by 20 months

at 28 months I was still within ten pounds of goal

at 30 months I was 8 lbs below goal.

That's a long time to wait... I'd better get me some patience. :-)

I had my surgery in August 2010 and started excerising in January 2011. I've perhaps lost about and additional 30 pounds since excerising.. but I assume that would have came off anyways. I wanted to tone up more anything else.
