Soy Crisps, what do you think?
You're timing couldn't be more hysterical. I just got back from the grocery store and popped open a bag. Sadly I took one bite and spit them back out. I didn't like them. BUT, I think that used in moderation they are a much better alternative to a cracker because they actually provide some protein. I would say if you are really craving a cracker and have to have that crunch then go for it, but make the whole bag stretch a couple of weeks. You want to avoid having that desire for potato chip-like foods...it could be a gateway!! LOL!

Personally - I don't like the flavor, texture or aftertaste of the soy chips. I prefer vegetables with hummus or yogurt dips. I realize that it may depend upon where you are at in your foods, but it's easy to move to carbs such as chips or crackers because they desolve into paste - but it's a slippery slope.
Soy crips are excellent when you want something crunchy. I use them instead of rice cakes because of the protein content. Like anything, you want to moderate your usage of them, but they really are great.

Those nutritional numbers sound good. A similar product that I am really enjoying are Trader Joe's Savory Thine Edamame Crisps. Funny because the regular cracker that I eat is Trader Joe's Savory Thins which are low fat and sugar free. These two snacks are great because they are thin and if you enjoy each one you can have anywhere between 2-5 at a time (with the Savory thins they are less than 10 calories a cracker and 5 crackers is less than 1 gram of fat).
