It's OFFICIAL!! I am no Longer Diabetic!

My endocrinologist declared me cured of diabetes today with an A1c of 5.7!! WHOO HOO! That is one goal down out of three for me healthwise and I am only 9 weeks out from surgery!!!

Next two:

1.  Sleep apnea
2.  High blood pressure

Can't wait to knock those two out too! 

  This is awesome news. I had diabetes too and it went away within a month. I stopped taking insulin at 2 weeks post op. Dont worry, you will knock out the other two in NO time.

What a huge success - congratulations!!!  Pretty soon the apnea an blood pressure will resolve themselves, too.   All my co-morbidities were taken care of either immediately (diabetes and blood pressure) or within a few months (cholosterol, sleep apnea).

This gives me hope!! I can't wait till all my other issues are resolved!

Congratulations!   I am hoping once I have surgery that my hyoglycemia goes away as well.

June 21st is when my surgery date is.

Mine is gone too and so is my Sleep Apnea (3months after PNY), High Blod Pressure (Immeadiately)and High Cholesterol ( 3 mths after RNY).  I love my RNY and my new active life.

ps...I see you are from Indiana too Christy, where did you have your surgery? Mine was at st. vincents.
