I am preop, and am just taking a stab this, but, I am wondering if you are eating enough food for a 305 lb person? I would talk to my nut to confirm this, but, it doesn't sound like you are eating enough! Good luck! I will be watching for others' thoughts on this!

I'm no expert, but I don't think you're eating enough. Are you getting 80 + grams of protein in? Some docs say 60, but it doesn't sound like you're getting even that much in. Get a protein shake in there, trade your crystal light  in for a 'clear' protein. 'Isopure'... tastes pretty similar to crystal light, actually, and it's 40 g for a 20 ounce bottle. I split it up, pour half over ice at a time... Put some peanut butter on your toast in the am. And make sure you're getting your 8-10 glasses of water in.  Good luck!

NEED MORE PROTEIN!!!!!

You are doing awesome with your weight loss and exercise!  The scale moves slower the further you are out.

I do think you need to eat more protein and calories.  If I started my day with just a piece of toast I'd crash so fast... If your body thinks you are starving it won't give up the weight.

Try at least putting cheese on the toast (nuke for 30 sec- it's awesome)  Eat protein at every meal- at least 20G if you aren't doing shakes

You really are doing wonderfully- it will come off just hang in there.

You are not eating enough.. And you are for sure not getting enough protein. drop the whole grain toast and add a protein shake in the morning. Drop the Dannon yogurt and go for a high protein Greek yogurt.  Your dinner is fine. Maybe after dinner make a protein ice cream or just have another protein shake.  You should be getting 80-100 gms of protein a day. I think if you up your calories and protein the weight will fall off much quicker.  Also 30 minutes a day is good but make sure you vary work outs between cardio and strength training.  Also maybe increase your exercise to an hour a day... Maybe only four days a week?

Some peoples stalls will last 2 months (the last time I asked here on OH)  Don't get discouraged.  Keep exercising.  make sure you get your protein in.  Check out what your BMR is and that will help you in knowing how many calories u should be taking and still lose weight.  Talking with the NUT is important.  Thats what they are there for....I hav e a great NUT!  Good luck.  Hope you get some more answers ;-)

I would definitely up the calories and protein and start tracking it on a site like www.myfitnesspal.com so you can see exactly what you are getting in protein and calories. I would then vary my routine daily - do alot of walking/cardio one day; then try to do 30-45 minutes of weights the next. Start with light weights at the gym and lots of reps, and alternate that with heavier weights and less reps. Work out arms/chest/back one day; then legs and lower body the next, and abs the next. Alternate the weights days with the cardio days and keep up the daily walk. Mostly, EAT MORE. Greek yogurt instead of Dannon, egg whites and a protein shake at breakfast. If you like your whole grain toast, thrown an egg white with some cheese and onion and spinach on top of it - that is my daily breakfast at the moment. Add in a protein shake at the end of the day if you haven't gotten enough in.

I think it's definitely that you aren't getting enough protein!  I was told that I need a minimum of 80 grams of protein per day.

I agree with all of the other posters.....you need more protein!!  I also wanted to add that chewing ice can sometimes be a symptom of anemia.  You mentioned that you chew a lot of ice.....it might be worth checking with your doc and having some labs drawn.

It is much easier to address low levels as they are going down, rather than waiting until you are truly deficient.

Good luck!
