cooking with wine?

I'm still pretty early out (about 2 weeks) but I want to cook my haddock with some white wine tomorrow.

Cooking with alcohol should be ok right? It's gonna burn off in the oven anyway....right?

 The alcohol content should mostly burn off but I wonder about the sugars in the wine. Just want to spare you the dumping experience - it's not fun! I'm 5 weeks and do dump, ugh!

The recipe calls for 1lb of fish and 1/2 cup of white wine.  I'm thinking if I don't eat too much of the liquid I should be ok.  I will check the sugar content of the wine I use though. Good call I never would have thought of that! Thank you!!

Saw an apron that said, "I cook with wine, and sometimes I even put it in the food!" Love it and your subject title reminded me of it.

 just remember, out of 1lb of fish, how much are you going to eat anyways...plus you dont want to have too much of the liquid anyways so it doesn't push your food through too fast! hope it's good :)

I put it in the crock pot...The alcohol cooks out.

I've cooked with wine since the beginning.  Haven't had any issues with it and enjoy the added layer of flavor it brings to my dishes.
