Vitamin D - labs and med adjustment???
My Vit D level was 71...the normal range is 20-80. I currently take a dry D3 sublingual 10,000 units. The Dr. doesn't think I need to be taking that much. But I took it every day for MONTHS before they drew my labs. I know it's fat soluble. Anyway...whats your opinion?....keep the same dose? or lower it? TIA...bb
My opinion is that of the Linus Pauling Institute - 20 is NOT normal at all. We need our D 80 or above. I would stick with what you've been taking.
Please note: I AM NOT A DOCTOR. If you want medical advice, talk to your doctor. Whatever I post, there is probably some surgeon or other health care provider somewhere that disagrees with me. If you want to know what your surgeon thinks, then ask him or her. Check out my blog.
Water soluble D is not fat soluble any more. It cannot store in your liver in the same way.
Please keep it going the same. That's an old range. Most common today is 32-100, with some as high as 150
If it took you that log to ramp it up, don't let it slide down again!
