It has gotten easier. Yesterday and today have really not been bad at all. There was just those couple days. That were really tough. Now I know that I can do this and I have lost 8 pounds to show for it so far.

I had two weeks of liquids pre-op and just finished two of three post-op weeks of liquid.  That is what my surgeon requires.  It is difficult but totally doable.  I felt so good the morning of my surgery knowing that I had not cheated, that I had done everything I needed to prepare my body.  What really helped me pre-surgery was sugar-free gum and sugar-free popsicles.  Also, when I was feeling an urge, I got up and walked or distracted myself in some way.  When I posted something very similar to you, the best advice I got was that the liquid diet is your insurance policy to a new life.  That became my mantra.  Also, be sure to build in little rewards for yourself- a new nail polish, some flowers, a candle, bath products, earrings, makeup.  In these four weeks, I have lost 37 pounds!  It has been a great jumpstart.  Best of luck to you!
