First off congratulations on your pregnancy. Have you visited the pregnancy after WLS board? I'm sure you aren't alone in losing while pregnant at least initially.
Your body will take the nutrients you are eating.
Are you corresponding with your surgeon along with your OB/GYN?

You'll probably have to find an OB/GYN who deals with high risk pregnancies. Your regular OB/GYN should have you on supplements so the baby can get enough nutrition - and your post op eating plan should be completely revamped to accomodate the baby and what it needs - especially in the first months, for brain development and to avoid any problems down the road. Did your doc not warn you about getting pregnant in the first couple years after WLS? Your daily intake will have to change to accomodate the growing baby - the nutrition of the baby comes first, and you'll have to stop losing or at least slow it down for a while. Make sure you're on the best
pre natal vits and other supplements from your doc. It could make a huge difference in the develpment of the baby. How are your bi-weekly/weekly visits going with the Ob/gyn? Have you seen your bariatric surgeon since the pregnancy - how did you regular check ups go with your wls doc before getting pregnant? How were your numbers on blood work, etc? Was your iron level up, B-12 ok, things like that. Check with your doc for your recent labs, find a good Ob/GYN who deals with high risk pregnancies, and is familiar with post op wls patients. You'll have to eat lots more often to get the baby what it needs, and not count your own calories for a while. It may mean the difference between a healthy baby and one with problems. Make sure you're getting enough calcium daily, and anything else you were lacking on before - the healthier you can be the better the outcome. good luck - keep us posted.

Thanks again ladies. Yes, I still see my surgeon. He told me to keep up with my OB. I see a reg OB and a High risk OB. My Labs are all great. They said everything is perfect. I think I am going to have my OB change me to a pre vit that is a gel capsule. I like that one and that was only one pill and it included DHA, which my surgeon said some would get thru to the baby. They did warn me about having a baby within 2 years of post op, I didn't realize we were that fertal. LOL ,but no one has recommend me change my eating. That's why I came here to ask you lovely ladies because they keep telling me everything is fine. Every ones concern is that I am keeping up on my fluids, which I am, I probably need to increase them more.
I just want a health baby. A good size baby and I am willing to do what ever it takes to make sure she is healthy. I really appreciate all the advise. I am willing to take everything in. Like I said, they haven't told me to change my eating. SO now I am going to do my best to do that. I even asked if I should be eating every few hours and every one, even my surgeon, said everything is fine right now..... So.... I am just needing the help.

congrats on the baby!
I lost weight with all 4 of my pregnancies. I wasn't sick either, I just ate healthier (go figure). This was all before RNY though. Keep up on your vitamins and eat when/what you can. And stay hydrated. I would say for me around 25 weeks I would stop losing and then gain a bit because I would be eating more. Just make good choices.
