NSV -- Shoes!!!
Before WLS, my feet had "grown" a size and a half, and for many years I only bought shoes on Zappos, where I could be sure to get ones in a wide width. Tonight I took the plunge and went shoe shopping in a real shoe store. I'm back down to the shoe size I was in college (I'm now 45, so that's a big deal!), AND they were all MEDIUM (regular) width!!! It completely blew me away that I could basically have my pick of any of the shoes in the store. UNBELIEVABLE!!!!
Had to post this, because no one else would understand. Thanks for listening!

When the shoe store and the clothing store are no longer out to get you, welcome back to the "normal" world! I'd been a shoe addict for so long b/c if I couldn't find clothes to look good on me, at least my shoes would look good - now we get to have the best of both worlds/stores....

I am so HAPPY for you!!
I've always loved shoes, so when clothes no longer looked good, I bought shoes, shoes and more shoes and then one day they spurnned me, or me them...it gets so confusing. The only thing I could wear comfortably anymore were Croc's and thank goodness for them! I am so looking forward to just a nice pair of running shoes soon, later on a nice strappy heel would be awesome.
I was really able to relate to your joy and happiness. Congrats and Enjoy those new shoes!!!!

I'm 5 weeks post op and all of my shoes are too loose. I think all my weight loss has been in my feet.(Clothes are getting pretty baggy too!) I even have a pair that I couldn't wear before surgery because they were too tight, but now they are loose too!
I have really been into buying shoes until now for the same reason, I could find something that fit and was cute.
So here's to soon being able to buy both cute clothes and shoes!
