dizzy, lightheaded...

Since last Thursday, I have had a couple of episodes of dizziness/lightheadedness.  I'm getting all my fluids in, taking all my vits, and getting about 80g of protein a day.

What could be causing it?

I know, call my doctor, and I will, but I wondered what might be causing it.

Also, should I call my regular doctor or my bariatric doctor?

Does it happen at any particular time?  Or just randomly?

Possibly could be reactive hypoglycemia.  Can you test your blood sugar?

I'd call your regular doc unless you think it's directly related to your RNY.

It's random.  Not near any food intake...or at least not by a couple of hours.

What about your blood pressure?  Are you on meds?  Just wondering.  I had a bout of low blood pressure and my meds had to be adjusted and I was lightheaded often before we figured it out.

Go see your regular doc.  There are probably about a million things it could be, and there's really no point in guessing.

Ok, I will do that.  I was on BP meds before surgery, but I have not been on them since.  I have not needed them.

I will call my doctor right now!

Your body is changing, your blood pressure is all over the place. I get that all the time.. mostly when I have low salt -minerals intake for a day or few.

Thanks, Hala.

I have an appointment on Monday, 6/27.  My doctor is out until then, and I didn't want to see someone else.  If it gets worse I will call again.

I had that when I was newly out and I was not getting in enough water. I was doing the minimum required by my doc - 64 ounces-but with warmer weather and moving more I needed more. Upped my water intake to 86 ounces a day and I've never had it since. See if you don't need more. It's warmer out and we're more active.
