Tell me about strictures
Is it when you cant eat or drink, meaning nothing will stay down? Im 2 months out, the longest I have gone so far without getting sick is 5 days. Sometimes Im throwing up all day and cant have a sip of water bc it will come right out, but once everything passes, Im fine. I thought it might have been a stricture, but then I wouldnt be able to eat afterwards, right? I think my problem is eating too fast and not chewing enough. From what I understand from my doc, if you have the "foamies", then its either of the ones I said(not chewing enough, eating too fast).

I was 3 weeks out and started getting a pain in my stomach non stop, everything hurt going down, I ended up in the ER and stayed in the hospital for 4 days, on release I went back to go and didnt collect my 200.00 I was set back on clear liquids and started the process again... basically your staple line in stomach gets inflamed and you cant keep anything down... I advise you to check with your surgeon period, dont take any chances at early stages. Dont wait good luck...

2 months out is when I developed symptoms of a stricture. I had some good days where I could eat and drink a little so I thought I was doing things wrong on my "bad" days. I finally got a scope at three months out when I had to go in for IV fluids. Had a stricture which required three separate dilations. My opening to my small bowel was only about 5 mm. Should be about 15 mm.
They needed 3 separate dilations because they can only stretch a few mm at a time to prevent tearing.
Should you ever need scopes, please don't delay because you are afraid of them. They are very easy, take a few minutes. I waited a month longer than I should've and got very weak and dehydrated.

I was the same way and today i had to go in and let them look at my pouch it ended up being the bottom of my pouch was closing it was not letting my food go down so the only thing it knew what to do is to come up. so he had to go dilate the bottom of my pouch. I could drink but when i would eat food it always felt stuck and would come back up. I was ok at the begining of my surgery and about a month ago i was sick then i was fine for a bit then started getting sick again this saturday and i am about 2 months out.
