Trying to decide if it is just one of those things, or could I be developing a stricture.

Slider foods are fine.

"Denser" proteins, one or two bites and I get that "stuck" feeling.  No matter how little of a bite, or how long I chew.

Things that made me feel "stuck":

Hard boiled egg  (actually had to throw up a little after, pouch was unhappy the rest of the day)
Tuna Salad on a cracker
Boca Burger
Egg and Cheese Quiche

So, do I take it easy the next few days and lay off dense protein and see what happens?  Or should I call my surgeon and see what he thinks?  I don't see him again until July 11.

Especially since you aren't too far out from your surgery, I'd put a call in to the doc today. Stick with fluids and protein drinks so you don't dehydrate.

If you wait a couple of days, he could be booked up....then it's a holiday weekend....better safe than sorry!

Im guessing your plan is different than mine was BUT at 2 months out I was still on soft foods. Meats wasnt allowed till after 3 to 4 months. I STILL have trouble with beef/pork/hell almost all meats outside of fish. I can only eat about 2 to 4 cubes of those then Im full and it feels like an elephant is sitting on my chest so Im on slider foods more often than not... daily.

Stay on liquids and soft foods today, you could be developing one or you may have aggravated your pouch.

If you have trouble with liquids definitely call your surgeon.

Go ahead and call.  Mine stricture started that way and I thought that I wasn't chewing good enough or taking enough time to eat.  I kept waiting until NO food would stay down.  I had it fixed last Wednesday and I feel like a new person now.  Don't wait!

It could just be the eggs; when I was a newbie, eggs were very hard for my pouch. It was more than a year before I could eat them in any form, and then it was "over medium" so that they were very runny.

Try other forms of protein; there are lots of choices!

Good luck!
