New from Citrical- CC Gummies??!!

What do you all think of these and are they ok for RNY patients??
Also, another new thing from Citrical:
http://citracal.com/en/about-citracal/citracal-slow-release-1200/
What about this one? It says it slowly releases throughout the day, but it's a combo of calcium carbonate and citrate. I seriously doubt we'd be able to take this as RNY patients because of the timed release of it and also with it being a combo of carbonate and citrate (and citrate being the only one we can absorb). But it'd be nice if there was something out there that we'd only have to take once a day of CC, instead of 3 times a day!!!

- One serving provides 500 mg of calcium (as tricalcium phosphate) to help keep your bones strong*
- One serving contains 500 IU of vitamin D3 to help your body absorb calcium
- In soft and creamy orange, cherry, and berry flavors

The gummies are not made with the right kind of calcium. We need calcium citrate after surgery. As far as the extended release options, once again not a good choice for RNY patients. Extended release vitamins and medications require the full functioning stomach to assist in the release. We would not get the full value.
Everyone is correct about the gummies of course.
And the slow release? The problems are:
1) we don't absorb extended release ANYTHING properly post op
2) because it's a blend of citrate and carbonate, we don't know how much of each we are taking so can't properly adjust the dosage to ensure getting in the full amount of citrate.
Wouldnt' it be nice if someone came up with a magic calcium pill that we could just take once per day regardless of how much calcium we need? I have get in 4000mg/day right now and it drives me nuts. I *so* understand the desire to switch up the calcium. Have you tried Bariatric Advantage Calcium Chews? If you like gummies, you might like them. The caramel ones are awesome.
Best of luck to you on your journey!=)
