Diet Snapple Tea Question
I am having a hard time getting my 64 oz of liquids in. I have tried crystal lights but they are just sickly sweet, so I have cut down the powder amt and still have trouble drinking it. Same goes with water. I had a diet Snapple peach tea yesterday, and drank the whole bottle (which is about 12-14 oz.) with no problems in an hour. I was shocked and bought more today and have been drinking it just fine. Then I came across something that said that caffinated drinks do not go towards your liquid amounts. Now I'm bummed. I am drinking in all these liquids, so it really doesn't count? I'm going to ask my NUT next week this well as well. What is your take on caffeine and liquid amounts?
Mia, caffeine can act like a mild diuretic and cause you to urinate more frequently, which of course defeats the purpose of drinking more fluids. The more caffeine, the more you pee. Snapple tea should not be a particular problem as long as it's not the only liquid you are drinking. I put one crystal light drink tube (intended for a bottle of water) in nearly a quart of water as it's waaaay too sweet for me otherwise. You can also use a bit of lime or lemon juice or just about anything else to flavor your water. Your NUT will give you sound advice. Good luck.

Oh my gosh I love the diet Snapple Ice Teas, however, I thought I could not have them because they had Caffeine in them. I searched every where for Caffeine free diet Snapple and could not find it!
What I am learning from this post is that diet Snapple is ok you just can not count it towards your 64 oz of liquids?
