AM I on track with my weight loss?

Hello! I had my revision from a Molina band to a RNY on June 27, 2011. I am 23 days post op. I have lost 15 lbs. I am a little disheartened. I have done everything by the book. I broke my toe post op, so I am not exercising. Other than that, though, as directed by my doc. I go see him today, but I was wondering if any of you have any input. Thanks!

I believe the average weight loss for the first month with RNY is 20 lbs.  People with revisions tend to lose a bit slower.  Seems like you're doing great to me!

 15 pounds in 23 days.  That's 5 pounds per week. I'd call that awesome.

 I feel your pain!  I also had a revision on June 27 and I've lost (only) 17lbs.  Makes ya nuts doesn't it?  

Fully realizing that it is easier said then done (and that I should take my own advise) try not to get too discouraged.  Keep reminding yourself, this is a marathon, not a sprite.

Thanks, everyone. I appreciate the encouragement, and input. I saw the PA yesterday, and she says I am on the lower end of acceptable,but she is is happy. She says revisions lose slower. The dietician also said the more weight you have to lose, the faster you lose. I know that is true with my original band. I had lost 30 lbs or so this far out. Oh course, I was 370, and 20 yrs old. That was 16 yrs ago. ***Sigh*** I really appreciate all of you! Thanks again! I will stay the course, and try to do exercise that won't hurt my toe. :)
