Nervous about haircut tonight

Pre-op I had shoulder length hair.  Then hair started falling out so I cut it short.  Hair is still falling out so I am going shorter yet.  Thinking about a cut like P!nk's.  I am nervous that I dont' have the right face shape.  My hair cutter is my sister and I know she wouldn't steer me wrong.

I'm a hairdresser...& normally I would say go for it! I love doing fresh short cuts! I think they are very stylish. But I know how hard it is to grow your hair back out after you go short. I had hair to my butt 5 years ago, & cut it to an a-line bob & have yet to go back. If you are the type of person who likes to do things with your hair pretty frequently, I would say don't go too short, esp. with the hair loss. A pixie cut requires lots of layers & it is more difficult to hide that you are loosing hair. But If you are ok with this, & don't mind not touching your hair for a while once you want to grow it back out, then I say go for it! ;o)

Also, A style like pinks, requires a thick texture, to get it to style that way & when you are loosing hairs your hair feels less dense, which makes it more difficult to style. I would reccommend that you just continue trims until you are about a year out, so you have more hair to play with then... ;o)

I am not worried about growing it out at this point.  I just want a hairstyle I can live with now.  I have come close to shaving my head a few times in the past week.

We will see what we get.
