It's so close... now I'm REALLY starting to get impatient! LOL
I have my pre-op appointment with my surgeon on Wednesday. I'm excited for it. What's worse, is I thought I was past the impatient part of this journey, but now even though my surgery is so close, I am probably even MORE impatient than I have been so far! LOL
Anyway, I was just wondering if you all could let me know what happened at your pre-op appointment so I can know what to expect on Wednesday.
Wishing you all a great week! :)

They weighed me, we went over the procedure. Varified all my medications, what I am allergic to, bring my cpap machine with me, did an EKG and answered all my questions. They also went over what I can and can not do before surgery; the special soap to wash with, no shaving 48 hrs before surgery and giving myself the blood clot shots. Then shipped me off to anasticia.
For me, my pre op went VERY fast! It was a full day! Started with blood work and pee test, then EKG, then nutrition, then I saw the nurse who explained EVERYTHING that would happen on surgery day. She explained the clear liquids only for the last 2 days pre op, how to scrub at home with the antiseptic scrub in the shower. Everything! I then saw the surgeon and his 2 fellows as well as the bariatric DO at the clinic. I sat there and everyone just swarmed the room, after that I met my anesthesiologist and did the admissions and signed the release. I asked questions, they answered and just reviewed everything. It was then that it sunk in, I thought; "Holy hell this is actually happening!" Make sure you pay attention, take notes and ask LOTS of questions! You'll do great! Good luck!

This Wednesday..like, in two days! You have got to tell me all about it -- mines this Sept 22nd and I'm READY! So, consider me an "understudy"...lol I need lists, and information...and and..lol
