I was wondering how long it takes to heal on the inside? I feel pretty good but then I think I over due it and then I am wiped out the next day. When did your surgeon release you to do more than walking? I just don't want to do anything that is damaging.

I was released to do more strenuous exercises after four weeks, but I was easily wiped out until I was nine weeks out. Since then, I haven't felt any exhaustion or wiped out feeling. When they say it takes eight weeks to fully heal, they really mean it.

I will be 8 weeks out on Sunday and I AM STILL SOOOOO WIPED OUT!!! I hope that I have more energy soon. Thanks for the insight, Jim. My doc said the same thing that healing took 8 weeks. I hope that this low energy spell will end soon - just like yours did at 9 weeks. I was released to full exercise at 4 week but NO LIFTING WEIGHTS for 3 months but walking is good.

Everyone heals at different rates, but I'm sure you'll start feeling 100% very shortly. For me, it was like a metamorphosis. One night I went to bed exhausted from mild everyday activity, and the next day I felt like I could run a marathon.
