Pool

Does anyone know how long I have to wait to swim in my pool?  I would love to start doing some water aerobics or just walking around in the pool!  I will be 2 weeks post-op tomorrow.  Thanks!

My surgeon told me as soon as my incisions were healed I could go in the pool. They were healed for me at about 3 weeks. I love water jogging! Hope you can go in the water soon.

My nurse told me 4 weeks (I think) so I waited. But when I visited my surgeon, he said I could have been in the pool at 2 weeks. So I recommend you call your surgeon's office and get their official opinion.

My surgeon told me three weeks (lap surgery).

Good idea to ask your surgeon though to make sure.

 I just got out Friday....if you have a JP drain......not until that comes out and heals, which they said two weeks.  NO JP drainm two weeks.

I was told as soon as incisions healed completely, 3-4 weeks.

I was told 1 month for the pool; 6 weeks for the hottub.

4 weeks before swimming.

5 weeks before strenuous water activity (i.e. water aerobics)
