liver disease

is there anyone here going to have surgery that has nafld cirhossis of the liver.

Yeah, me.  Why?

Based on my intraoperative liver biopsy, I was sent to see a hepatologist.  He diagosed me with stage 1 NASH due to fatty liver.  The only med he gave me was vitamin E.  He wants to follow up in January.  Since about two months after surgery my liver enzymes have been normal so I am hopeful that the weight loss will "cure" this.  

Geez, they didn't do anything with me.  I was diagnosed with it years ago.  Don't even remember why they were doing an ultrasound at the time.  No follow up was mentioned.  They just said it was typical in overweight people.

I too hope the WLS fixes it.

I'm still waiting to hear on my interoperative liver biopsy results...my liver enzymes have been high for over a year and my surgeon said my liver was enlarged and rigid during my procedure.
