I wanted so bad yesterday to drink my water while I ate my food and knew I couldn't do it!

I just want to know will we as rouen -y patients ever be able to drink liquids while we eat?  I know it may take some time but it would be nice to be able to quench my thirst while I'm feeding my belly.

Nope.  Never can.  The whole reason is that the food needs time in your tummy to digest before sending it on and you need to feel full longer.  That isn't going to change over time.  Drink up before.

No you shouldn't drink as you eat--it will flush the food out of your pouch too soon. The good news is that it does get easier with time, you get use to it and you can drink quicker as you get further out so it's not as big a deal when you have no trouble getting your fluid in at non meal times

No.  Not if you want to keep the weight off, anyway. That's one of the things commonly cited by people who have regained weight... they went back to drinking with their meals and therefore they overeat (because it washes the food out of the pouch and you don't feel full).

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.

You will be able to if you want to.  However, drinking with your meals washes food out of your pouch so you will get hungry much faster.  If you don't mind getting hungry right after you ate, you can drink with meals.

As everyone else has said, there will come a point where you CAN but just because you can doesn't mean you SHOULD. Now I will say, when I was pregnant, I did drink when I ate lots of times, because I needed to get hungry so I wouldn't keep losing. 800 calories a day while pregnant wont work (and I still only managed to net gain 2lbs after losing 14 at first. And didn't gain them until the last few weeks.) lol Now, I don't drink while I eat or 30mins after.

Drink up until you eat and that will help you out. Also, if your thirsty/need moisture after you eat, try eating something like a grape.
