1 Year Post-Op Appt Coming Up - testing...
Somewhere I've read the recommendation that we have a bone density scan at one year post op. If it's OK, then we should retest in two years. I don't think that recommendation comes from the ASMBS, I can't remember where it came from. My surgeon said she did not normally recommend bone density scans and didn't think it was necessary, but I asked her to write me an order for one anyway and she did. My insurance paid for it.
