I'm two months post-op as of yesterday and was wondering if I could eat nuts like pistachios or cashews?

Has anyone else ate nuts being only as far out as I am?

Yes, I had peanuts, walnuts, almonds and cashews at 2 months. They have a high fat content and some folks have problems with them. You want to pre-portion them to make sure you don't go overboard. I always break a container of Blue Diamond Bold flavour almonds into snack sized bags with 10 almonds each - (which are 100 cals) and keep them in the fridge for grab and go.

Hi, I eat raw nuts as my first choice, roasted are okay but I find them heavier and higher in calories. Almost daily I have raw almonds as my mid morning snack, sometimes with a banana or apple. Chew them well, take your time, and portion them out. Enjoy! Kahwren

Yes,  I eat pistacios, peanuts, walnuts, almonds.  I probably started at about 2 months without a problem.  Just remember to measure out a serving.
